Positano was a prosperous port of the Amalfi Republic in the 16th and 17th centuries. But by the mid-19th century, the town had fallen on hard times. More than half the population emigrated, mostly to the United States of America.

After visited POsitano drive to Sorrento with free time also there to explore the town and enjoy. After visited drive to the port of Naples where you can take the hydrofoil to the island of Capri (there are lots of connections duing the day in summer time/ in winter limited boat connections).

After spend your time on the island you can take the hydrofoil back to Naples port directly from there (they dock just beside the Cruise ship terminal in Naples).
