NAPLES - POMPEII
Pickup usual at 8am in Naples or 9am in Sorrento (surrounding) . The tour brings us first to the city of Naples. The city is known for its rich history, art, culture and gastronomy, playing an important role throughout much of its existence; it is over 2,800 years old. Naples is located halfway between two volcanic areas, the volcano Mount Vesuvius and the Phlegraean Fields, sitting on the coast by the Gulf of Naples.  You will make an city sigthseeing drive and will have some free time at Piazza Plebiscito for a traditional caffé (coffee ) at one of the most famous Bars in Naples- il Gambrinus. Or just to walk around a bit or make some shopping. For lunch you can taste one of the famous Neapolitain Pizzas  (the traditional Pizza Margherita or Marinara par example). Then we would reach to Pompeii and you would have free time to visit teh ruins. Pompeii is undoubtedly one of the world's best known archaeological sites. Its fame comes from its dramatic destruction and extraordinary preservation as a result of an eruption of Mount Vesuvius.Naples is the capital of the region of Campania and of the province of Naples. We could also organize you an archeological guide for teh visit if you would like. Then bck to the Hotel/Appartment/port in teh afternoon.
